Firefighters battle 3-alarm rowhome fire in Allentown, Pennsylvania

Allentown Fire Department responded to the area of 10th and Washington Street for a transformer fire. When the engine arrived they found smoke coming from multiple home due to a utility pole that was leaning.

The communication center transmitted box 2328 for 930 Washington Street for a house fire sending 3 more engines, a ladder tower and Battalion 43 (Hess).

As they investigated what they had going on, the found 7 homes with fire in the roofs in the rear of the dwellings.

A second alarm was transmitted and then the 3rd. Firefighters not only battled flames but the heat and humidity was high that day.
